Acrobatic Arts Program

Stage One Dance Studio offers Acro classes through the internationally recognised Acrobatic Arts program, designed to safely develop strength, flexibility, and control in dancers of all ages and abilities. AcroDance beautifully blends classical dance technique with acrobatic elements, creating strong, versatile, and confident performers.

The Acrobatic Arts program is built on safe and effective progressions, with proven results across five key divisions: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering, and Tumbling. Each skill is carefully structured to ensure students build a solid foundation before progressing to more advanced movements, prioritising correct technique and injury prevention at every stage.

Developed in collaboration with industry professionals and experts across a wide range of disciplines—including ballet, contemporary and jazz dance, contortion, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, Pilates, physiotherapy, and hand balancing—this program is one of the most comprehensive and trusted acro training systems available worldwide.

From our youngest preschool dancers learning foundational skills such as rolls and coordination, through to advanced students confidently tumbling and performing complex tricks across the stage, every class is designed to support progression, build confidence, and celebrate achievement.

Acro is an excellent complement to all dance styles, enhancing overall technique, strength, and performance quality. Students also have the opportunity to showcase their skills in concerts and, for those in performance pathways, competitions throughout the year.
